Spencer was charged with multiple counts of assault causing grievous bodily harm. Spencer maintained his action was justified as self-defence so his matter proceeded to Trial at Sydney District Court. The trial started on 14.11.2022, on the 3rd day of the trial, the Crown decided to withdrew all the serious charges against Spencer.
